22 Albino Animals That Don’t Need Color To Look Beautiful

Albinism includes a number of genetic pigmentation disorders, in which the skin or fur is white or pink; in some cases it also causes reddish eyes. Albinism has been linked to poor eyesight and higher skin cancer rates, but otherwise albino animals (and humans) are exactly the same as everyone else.
Leucism is a similar condition to albinism that impacts some members of the animal kingdom. Leucism only includes partial loss of pigmentation and causes pale white patches to form. Leucism is caused by a reduction in multiple types of pigment, not just melanin.
In nature, what is different is all the more beautiful, making the all-white animals on this list some of the most gorgeous creatures in the world.

A 3D Breathtaking Rendering In Our Solar System...WOW!

Our solar system has been a one of the most interesting topics and from the ancient times people have been trying to explain its mysteries. Beside the scientific part it has been the inspiration for many arts...Here is an excellent perspective that combines art with science in order we can understand better what is going on out there!
This amazing graphic was created by Roberto Ziche and shows our solar system to scale. Roberto explains: “At the Chabot Space and Science Center there were some old, poor quality images, probably downloaded from internet and printed on office paper, showing the Sun and the planets to scale. I found the images content to be extremely interesting, but the design and quality was definitely something that could have been improved. I decided to give it a try, and create a brand new, more artistic view of our solar system, poster size (36″ x 36″), and donate it to the Center to replace those old prints. The 3D geometry was not too complex, but there was a lot of lighting experimentation to get the scene illuminated only by the Sun itself, and some time consuming multi-layer composition in Photoshop.” Ziche has generously provided the illustration as a high-resolution download. You can find a 27.1 mb PNG version here. The amount of ‘space’ between objects can also boggle the mind. For example, did you know you can fit all of the planets in our solar system in the space between Earth and our moon? Lastly, check out the video below to see a comparison of our Sun compared to other large stars we have discovered.

A Cube That Can Jump Up, Balance Itself And Walk. Can’t Believe? You Need To Watch This

The Cubli is a 15 × 15 × 15 cm cube that can jump up and balance on its corner. Reaction wheels mounted on three faces of the cube rotate at high angular velocities and then brake suddenly, causing the Cubli to jump up. Once the Cubli has almost reached the corner stand up position, controlled motor torques are applied to make it balance on its corner. In addition to balancing, the motor torques can also be used to achieve a controlled fall such that the Cubli can be commanded to fall in any arbitrary direction. Combining these three abilities — jumping up, balancing, and controlled falling — the Cubli is able to ‘walk’.

Shockwaves are super powerful; they're supersonic and transport more energy than sound waves and can travel right through your body.

Breathtaking Blood Moon Visible for Mere Minutes this Saturday

Attention, skywatchers! A total lunar eclipse will result in a gorgeous red blood moon this Saturday, April 4, but there's a catch: it will only last about five minutes. Astronomers expect the eclipse to begin around 6:16 a.m. EDT and last just under two hours. The dramatic blood moon will be visible at 7:58 a.m. EDT.
A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth is directly between the Moon and the Sun. Earth's atmosphere filters out blue and green light, and the resulting blood moon is only illuminated by dim red light.

Per NASA, this eclipse will be visible in Asia, Oceania, and throughout the Americas; skygazers in Europe and Africa will be left in the dark this time around. It is the third total lunar eclipse in a series of four, known as a tetrad. The final total eclipse of this tetrad will occur on September 28 of this year.
